360 Degree "Before & After" Panorama Images
In May 2010 we took a series of photographs of our church interior and our lobby before the renovation project began. The photographs were taken from a tripod in the center of our church as well as from one corner of our lobby. The photos were assembled into a 360° panorama using a free program called Hugin which is available at http://hugin.sourceforge.net/.
Then a few weeks ago in late March 2011 a similar set of images were taken from the same locations showing our renovated church and gathering space. We've stacked these "before & after" images on top of one another for comparison. Links are provided to larger versions of the images that you can scroll horizontally and vertically in your browser to see more detail.
The full image is 18000 x 1770 pixels for a total of nearly 32 million
pixels.
We have created a poster that displays all of the images below.
This poster has been on display in our gathering space and will
find a permanent home for display soon. If you're interested in
purchasing a copy of the poster click here.
In all of the comparison images below, the new images are on top and the older versions are below.
360 Degree View
In this image it's easy to see how the church was reversed 180 degrees. What used to be the main entrance at the back of the church at the south end is now the altar and sanctuary. Meanwhile the altar area that was at the north end is now our baptismal fountain and devotional space.

Our Gathering Space
Here are before and after images of our lobby. Because of the light coming through the doors and windows, the lighting effects could not be blended between individual images in the panorama as accurately as they were for the interior of the church. Still it gives you a real comparison of how much new free space we have for our gathering space. You can click the link below for a higher resolution version.
