After the 12 noon Mass there was a special meeting to vote on a proposal which Father Larry Crawford had presented at all of the Sunday Masses that day. The proposal was to use part of our capital funds to pay down half of our approximatly $750,000 in debt. Those funds had been originally collected in hopes of building a new church building.
The other half of the debt will be paid down $20,000 per year and would be matched dollar-for-dollar by the archdiocese and would be interest-free. The remainder of the capital funds would be used to renovate and revitalize our existing church rather than build a new one.
