Several pages of St. Gabriel's parish and school websites have been configured as WordPress blogs. This makes it much simpler for our staff and volunteers to create and organize timely content for our website. It also has the advantage that you can get St. Gabriel parish and school news on your custom home page. This is made possible through what is known as an "RSS feed".
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is an Internet standard that allows you to collect news information from a variety of sources and aggregate it all on a single page where it is easy to read rather than visiting many websites individually.
If you already have a customized Google or Yahoo home page then it is easy to add St. Gabriel content to that customize newspage. Simply click on the appropriate buttons below and follow the directions given to you by Google or Yahoo. In other very useful free RSS newsreader that we can recommend is one called "NewsGator". We have provided an update button for that service as well.
If you are using RSS software or a reader we don't currently support directly, you can still manually enter our RSS URL into your reader by right clicking on the "RSS" link in the table below. After right clicking you should choose "Copy Shortcut" and then paste the RSS URL into your RSS reader software or page.
